Do you know what an infant sees the most during the time that he/she can’t walk? A fan.
And the very fact that the fan is so exciting to them is the most amusing thing you will ever see. In fact, if you look at it yourself, the spinning fan will excite you just as much as it does a child. The impending visual appeal of the fan where you cannot tell each of its individual fins is just astounding.
Fan As a Logo
So astounding, in fact, that the fan could serve as an amazing logo design for you! The complexity of a logo is not a measurement of how good it really is. If it was, the only 2 trillion-dollar company (Apple Inc.) would not have such a simple logo.
So, there is nothing wrong with you wanting to design a fan logo for your company. The real question is how you will make it work. What is it that you need to consider before you go about designing a logo? How do you even design a logo? Can you find a logo online? Should you design a logo yourself?
Fan Logo – How to Go About it?
Since a logo design is always subjective, you should know that I won’t be telling you a specific design for your logo. What I will be telling you though is how to go about your logo design, so you do not end up with bottlenecks along the way.
The first step is always to analyze your own business. What is it that your business does? What does it promise? What makes it unique? Why anyone should engage with it? What are its values? These form the identity of your brand. Your custom logo should communicate this identity to everyone that sees it.
Once you know what you want to communicate, you should be able to navigate who you are communicating to. Your target audience is an essential element of your business and will dictate how your logo looks if it really is to attract any attention at all. Once you have the target audience in mind, you will think in terms of their buyer persona to add colors and designs to a logo that will specifically appeal to this target audience.
With all this sorted, you will still have to put in some work to pick the colors of the logo and do some rough sketching so you know what the final product will look like. But what good is sketching if you are not going to design the logo yourself? Well, it will give perspective and help you communicate your vision of the logo.
Find A Designer
More often than not, people do not have the technical skills to create a custom logo themselves. In that case, it is best to find yourself a professional logo designer that knows how to help you get things done. The designer can help you decide how your logo can work for you and what type of logo is best for your business given to communicate what you want to do with your logo in the future.
