Teaching logo design regardless of the knowledge to the new employees, interns or trainees we are required to teach them a lot from basic to a level where they understand the concept of the logo designing. Over time, however, we have figured out how we can handle this challenge effectively. This article will discuss how we train our logo designers and make them ready to do our work with the highest effectiveness.
Meaning and importance of a logo: We believe none of our employees can integrate well with our company until he/she learns the core meaning and importance of a logo. Teaching them on this subject helps us to let them know the core value of our organization. However, we don’t load them with thick books for them to read rather we conduct interactive in house sessions so we can make the learning easier for them.
Design process: We believe everything should be done systematically, that is why we have created a process through which we complete and deliver the work. We let our designers know about their part in the process of logo design as well as the process they should follow to make effective logo designs. We give them the freedom to change their part of the process later if they figure out a way that works better for them but initially we let them know the basic process that will work for them in the start of their career.
Polish software skills: Although the designers we hire have a good command over the software used for logo designing, we still move them through the stage where we polish their software skills by making them work with our most professional designers. This is one of the most important stage of the whole induction process at our organization.
Design Principles: We conduct sessions where we teach our designers the core design principles. This makes sure that their designs look professional.
Spark inspiration: Our new designers go through our portfolio so they could know the type of work we have done in the past. At this stage, we encourage an interactive conversation by encouraging the designers to comment on our designs.
Communication skills: This is one of the most important work to do as effective communication is the backbone of the work we are able to deliver. Although our designers don’t talk to our clients directly, they are still required to communicate with the team to deliver the work required. For this, we encourage teamwork and change the members of each team time to time so each one of the employees is able to understand the other one to the highest extent.
Network: We encourage our logo designers to network with the designers of our organization as well as the designers outside our organization as we know this will help them a lot to grow.
Conclusion: The above mentioned are the things we follow at Buy Custom Logo to train our new logo designers. However, this is equally useful for other logo designers. You can follow the above guidelines to be on the path to become a great logo designer.
